I would like to know about OBDII for checking of engine/others.

May we have the site name where we can find the parts catalogue of cars and also about the electronics PCB which are being used in cars.

I am assuming that you have a series 80 diesel engine and that it has run for about 100,000 kms hence the warning light and the changing of the timing belt. Based on the instructions of its repair manual you need to "remove the grommet off from the speedometer and turn off the lamp by pushing the warning light reset switch, then replace the grommet." Alternately, you can try to reset the entire computer of the vehicle by removing the battery cables for a couple of minutes. Pls note that some car radios/head units would revert to security default (ask for a code) when power is completely removed.

Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.

Good luck and kind regards.

Thank you for using FixYa.

    Hi again,

To my knowledge, most diesels in Japan and Canada are 24V and therefore meet NATO military specs. However, Canadian 1985 (85/10) BJ70's and all Canadian BJ60's are 12V. In Europe, all diesels larger than 4 cylinders are 24V except for in the 80 series which uses a 24/12V Series/Parallel switch to allow 24V starting and 12V while running. Australian diesels are all 12V.

If I may ask, was my earlier posting not informative to address your initial concern? The reason I asked was because the rating you gave me, which perhaps unknown to you, lowered my percentile.

Nonetheless, again thank you for using FixYa.

The serpentine belt on the 1997 Dodge Caravan is responsible for keeping the front engine accessories working at all times. To change it, raise the hood, and locate the small belt routing diagram on the top/left side of the plastic fan shroud cover. Use the routing directions from the diagram to install the new belt.Use the bolt head that secures the tensioner pulley to the tensioner arm to rotate the tensioner. Slide the belt off of the tensioner pulley.may be it can help you and good luck------------------------------------------------------------------
