2001 Ford ranger edge with the 4.0 V6 four-wheel drivefuel pump relay where is it at it's not the same as a Ford ranger

well all cars with many engines are not the same even by country sold to first. (market) edge is trim stuff, not fuel or engine related !
so I guess you google facts and read about other, rangers not yours.
wrong year,or wrong engines on their car makes answers dead wrong
so learn to read only your service manual for your car only 4.0L
one can read the manual and tell it what engine is there.
and is really a 2001 first time used.
4.0 L 4.0 SOHC V6 (gasoline) (SOHC is new) and unique this GEN.

https://eautorepair.net/Marketing/Default.asp

shop manual show 4 fuel pump schematics for 4 engines.
so scan the PCM yet see pump or fuse errors? scans are first

facts about pump , SOHC 4.0L in the manual
2 fuses
f1.17 main BJB
F2.19 , CJB
these pair run injectors.
now pump
wow 46 pages on engine controls (schematics)
page 24 is pump found it. 4.0L
fuse 1.23 blown
Fuse 1.7 is first.
PCM power relay good feeds pump relay
the pump relay feed the pump crash inertial switch then to pump.
last is pump g205 ground. not bad

so only 2001 AND 4.0l AND SOHC GETS YOU TRUTH NOT OTHERS.

2001-undefined-undefined-0.jpg THE RELAY IS IN THE BJB, BATTERY JUNCTION FUSE BOX.
BOTH ARE ABOVE.

How to check inertia switch 98 ranger . It has 3 wires

Three wires - the dark green with yellow stripe comes from the fuel pump relay ! When energized the relay sends battery voltage to the inertia switch via the dark green with yellow stripe wire . Inertia switch's don't go bad ! What's the problem ? fuel pump not working ? Test from the relay > Do you know what a relay is and how it works ? Watch this guy's video ! He shows chrysler first then ford . Do you know how to do electrical testing ! It doesn't matter that your inertia swich has three wires . Only two matter ! My 89 ford ranger will some times stall and not start back. You can turn key but fuel pump doesn't start but next day it may run fine

I would suspect a bad eec relay. These used to go out commonly, and the eec relay is what powers up the fuel pump relay.
