Chrysler Town & Country Mini-van constantly stalling

I have a 2001 Chrysler Town & Country Mini-van that continually stalls and dies . It will start right back up but continues to stall and die at pretty much any speed . When it' s in the process of stalling the cruise control light comes on. We' ve taken it to two dealers , they checked the ignition switch , fuel pressure , O2 sensor purge solenoid , EGR, and ECM , and there were no error codes showing . Both dealers told us they didn' t have any idea what was wrong with it , I couldn' t believe what I was hearing , especially from a dealer . I really enjoyed my van , especially with kids , and a lot of the extras we had in it , automatic keyless entry doors built in DVD player . I never had any other problems with it . Could someone please help me find a solution ? Thank you Chris Russell

I have a 2000 Chrysler T&C my van stall "cuts off " and starts back up while moving down the road "Cruise light" also comes on. It's like someone shuts it off and turns it back on. I had my van taken to a local shop and they say it needs a ECM ? could this be it. ??

I have 1997 Chrysler T&C with 99,500 miles on it. It runs smooth and the pickup is excellent. But it has become so moody now that it stalls whenever it likes. There are no set parameters for 'when and how'..it just dies and the controls get locked...the brakes, steering wheel and all. I generally put it in neutral and put the hazard lights ON ..and pray that nobody comes and bumps into me from the rear, because I have absolutely no control over it at that moment. After changing the gear to Park, I am able to start it again immediately. I tried to put the steering wheel oil right up to max...it showed some improvement..but it is back to its old tricks again.
    Any advice, PLEASE.

I have a '94 Chrysler New Yorker and it does the same thing. It started out just stalling when I was idling, but now it's at the point where it stalls while driving for no apparent reason. When i pull over (which is usually a battle because the steering essentially locks-up) it used to start right away but now it starts after a while. I've stopped driving it, but I'm worried I won't find a solution. I'm glad I'm not alone in this though--it looks like Chryslers often have this problem.

My 2000 Town and Country LX van hiccups and stalls on wet and/or rainy days. The Master Mechanic that has been fixing on it simply gave up and gave my money back, except for the two tow fees of $70.00. I enjoy the van and I would like to keep it for as much money as I have put into it. All I need to do is fix this glitch and the van will be good for another 5-10 years.

If the check engine light is not on, stay away from sensors for now. First when is the last time you have had a tune up? PLugs , wires, air and fuel filter. Stalling at a stop can be from the air filter, fuel filter (clogging up), It can also be from the catalytic conveter, these also clog up. It can be from vacuum leaks, this usually has a rough idle also. It wouldn't hurt to check for codes, intermittant codes don't always pop the light on. On some vehicles the o2 sensors can cause a rough idle and stall at stops, ut they usually set a code/ light.

Battery light came on then lights went out and van died minivan

your alternator most likely went bad and you were just driving on battery power with out the alternator recharging back the battery when your voltage drops to around 7.5 volts then the van will die please dont try to drive home with out fixing alternator.

POSSIBLY. BUT MORE LIKELY TO BE A VAC LEAC TO THE EVAPROTIVE SYSTEM. CHECK ALL OF THE VENT TUBE UNDER THE VEHICLE, EXPECIALLY AT THE CHARCOAL CANISTER. REPLACE ANY BROKEN LINES AND THEN TRY AGAIN.
