Where is the cabin micro filter and how do you replace it

The cabin filter is located just behind the glove box and the trim panel underneath. You'll nee to remove the trim panel & the glove box, then looking forward, you'll see the tray going horizontally on the heater assembly. I seem to remember it was held in with 2 screws.

I bought the filter and the complete instructions came with it, got it on eBay. I had replaced them on other cars before, this is realatively easy and definitely not worth paying more for the filter than necessary or the labor cost.

good luck

Can't find the ''cabin air filter'' on my 1996 Honda Odyssey

A 1996 Honda Odyssey is not equipped with a cabin air filter. If I was looking for a restriction in the cabin air, the first place I would look is on the inlet side of the A/C condensor. ALL cabin air travels through the A/C condensor ALL of the time. (The heater core only sees air when the temp door is not directing the air around it and always after it has been through the condensor first.) I have seen gunk as hard as concrete clogging the condensor just from layers of dirt that collects on the wet coils then dries.

How do i replace cabin filter in my 03 silverado?

i came across the same deal in my 2003 silverado. the owners manual says to replace the cabin filter but i sure couldn't find it. went to dealer. service manager looked at it, said mine didn't have a cabin filter. my truck is a work truck model (rubber floor mats, crank windows, etc.) and they don't have cabin filters. this may be your case., i don't know. if you have the fancy model, then you might have a cabin filter.

How do I replace the cabin air filter?

fifty50370: The cabin air filter is located behind the glove box.
Open the glove box and when you lower it, you will notice it is supported on both sides by what look like strings. You can remove these (at the box) and allow the box to flip down. Look straight in and you will see a long black or grayish plastic panel with tabs at the top and bottoms on each end. You should be able to pinch these tabs a little and pull back on the panel. The panel will come off in your hands. Behind the panel is the filter. Just pull the filter out.
NOTE: as you are removing the filter, pay attention to the direction the filter is in. There is a top and a bottom. Reassemble in the reverse order.
VIOLA! Your filter has been replaced!
