Question about 1998 Chevrolet Astro
I had the fuel pump replaced approx. 5 years ago.. Now The van wont start again...its turning over just wont get any gas... How do I know if its the fuel pump or a fuel filter...how difficult are they to replace
What is the year, make and model? One thing you can do to see if the problem is the fuel pump is to hook up a fuel pressure guage on the fuel rail located on the top o the engine. The valve that you hook the guage up to loos similar to the valve stem on a bike tire or car this will tell you if you are getting fuel pressure or not. Another common problem is the fuel pump relay which can sometimes go bad. This is usually located near your fuse block and they cost around $20 dollars depending on which application requires them. Keep me posted.
