Question about 2005 Pontiac Grand Am

Hazard light modulator

My turn signals are flashing double time! It began with one, but now both are. I have pulled the lights, checked bulbs, connections and wiring. I suspect there is a modulator involved; if so, how do I change it??

You will have to replace the turn signal and windshield wiper assembly. Its very easy to do just remove the plastic cover over the steering wheel and remove the 2 screws that hold it in place.I found this item online for $35.00

I need to find the flasher relay for a grand marquis 2001 .does it has one? My turn signals wont work I can hear the sound but don't even flash

Yes, it does have a flasher, although it may be a combined unit with the hazard flashers relay. So you hear the clicking of the flasher relay? That seems to indicate the relay is working properly. Have you checked the bulbs and the turn signal fuse? Any turn signal bulbs light up anywhere, front or back?
How about your brake lights, do they work? Your car may have separate, stand alone turn signals in the rear, but many American cars use the same bulb and same filament on the bulb for the brake lights and turn signals. If your merc is like this and the brake lights work, then the bulb must be good.
Turn on the hazard flashers and see if all bulbs work and flash at each corner of the car. This would be the same bulb as for the turn signals. If they work, it could be a bad turn signal switch, may even be the flasher relay somehow malfunctioning, and in a few cases, a bad hazard switch can affect the turn signal switch. Check fuses and bulbs first. If you have any type of body control module that controls lights and other accessories, you may have to investigate that. I know I'm not being very helpful, just throwing out a few suggestions. Good luck.

Turn signal will not flash

Check bulbs to see if all bulbs are lighting. Check to see if the Hazard lights flash. Replace flasher under dash for turn signal if bulbs are good and hazard flasher works. Otherwise, the turn signal switch might be bad in the steering column..

I have a 1995 Nissan Altima GXE that has an issue with the back lights. Only 2 of the bulbs on the left side work, none on the right. The 2 on the left go on when I turn on the running lights. ...

there's also a unit called the electronic flash unit / module that controls your signal lights and it can affect your brake lights... this unit is not tied into your hazards so one will work without the other.. unfortunately, I don not know where this particular unit would be on your car...

My 1997 mercury sable signal lights dont work right after I turn the hazard light switch on

The flasher module is responsible for the flashing of the turn signals and hazards. this device will fail overtime. you will need to replace this failed module asap. Replacing the flasher will restore the signal functions in this vehicle. (Check the bulbs before replacing the flasher)

1993 Dodge Shadow...left turn signal won't flash

If the fuses are good and the front and rear bulbs are good, change the flasher for the turn signals, even tho the right is working. If that doesn't fix the problem, it might be in the turn sgnal switch on the steering column.
If both bulbs are good for the backup lights and fuses are good, then the backup light switch, which is screwed into the side of the transmission has to bad.
