check your manual, see index, look at lights.... browse. you will se there an instruction on how to replace bulbs. if u see a bit difficult use ur common sence by taking off some parts under hood which you think an obstacle for you upon pulling the cover/bulb out from where it is located.
Please follow the instructions below carefully to change the bulbs in the licence plate of your cad deville; 1.All you have to do is put a flat blade screw driver on the right side of the bulb housing and gently push to the left. This will release the catch holding it in and it will drop out and down on the end of its wiring connector.
2.1/4 turn the bulb and remove. Replace the bulb and just put the housing back into the opening left side first, then just push up on the right side till you hear a click. Takes about 1 min per light. Works for all Deville types from 99-08
To change the bulbs all you have to do is put a flat blade screw driver
on the right side of the bulb housing and gently push to the left (towards the driver's side). This
will release the catch holding it in and it will drop out and down on
the end of its wiring connector. Twist the bulb counter clockwise to release it. Replace
the bulb and just put the housing back into the opening left side
first, then just push up on the right side till you hear a click.
Under the hood, you should be able to find the socket for the bulb behind the lighting assembly. The back of the socket turns out about a quarter of a turn, then can easily be removed to replace the bulb. It goes back in reverse.
1- OPEN THE TRUNK LID 2-PUSH THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE BULB FRAME TO YOUR LEFT AND PULL DOWN. NOT THE CLEAR LENS BUT THE FRAME AROUND IT. THE BULB ASSEMBLY WILL FALL OUT SO THAT YOU CAN EASILY REPLACE THE BULB. 3- CANT DO IT? THEN DO THIS. (BE CAREFUL) TAKE A FLAT BLADED SCREWDRIVER AND PLACE IT BETWEEN THE CHROME AND THE RIGHT HAND SIDE OF THE BULB FRAME AND DO STEP 2. THIS DOES WORK I HAVE DONE IT (WITH THE SCREWDRIVER) ON BOTH LIGHT ASSEMBLIES.
Replaced from the back side. Two ways to do this. 1. move the wheel well liner partially out of the way to get to the bulb & connector.
2. Remove the headlamp assy above the fog lamp bulb you wish to replace (pass side is easier than the driver's side because of the engine intake ducting on that side)
pop the hood take the plastic cover off it should have about 6 clips then unbolt the whole light from the car should be 2-3 screws and pull it out once u do that u might need to unscrew the plastic cover of the back to get to the wiring harness them u can change the bulb and reasmble
