Question about 1998 Toyota Tacoma
The motor seems to be cutting out during acceleration. When the cut out starts you can push down hard and it will accelerate like normal. All of the regular maintenance items have been replaced. I have also checked resistance on the coils when cold. Both checked out fine. Seems to happen when it is hotter outside. During the winter it was barely noticeable.Any ideas would be appreciated and Thank you before hand.

Could be any number of things, lets eliminate the transmission. Put the car in park and throttle the engine, is it snappy then? Or does it slowly rev up? If it still runs funny or isn't snappy, the tranny is not the problem. So it could be, weak fuel pump, fuel pressure regulator, or a ditributor problem. Could be a sensor to, but I've had 4 corollas and have never had a MAF sensor or others go out yet. I have had problems with the items I listed.

If you had an Oxygen Sensor issue, you would have the check engine light on at your dash. Have your guy hook up a scan tool to the car, and see if there are any codes stored.
