Re: driver side mirror
On the inside trim, you can remove screws that are by the door handle,
arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the
panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want
to break them. You'll need to lift the door panel upwards in order to
get it off the window ledge. Then you'll need to manipulate the panel
and disconnect the door handle linkage from the door handle and
disconnect the wiring for your controls. Then you can access the bolts that secure the mirror onto the door

Disconnect the negative battery cable.
NOTE: This procedure is for power mirrors. The procedure for a manual mirror is the same with the exception of the lack of electrical wiring.
Remove the door trim panel, plastic fasteners from the sound insulator and water deflector, as required.
Unfasten the retainer, then remove the mirror trim panel.

Disconnect the wiring connector and remove the wiring from the door retaining tabs.

Remove the mirror retaining nuts/screws, then remove the mirror with insulator and wiring.

Refit the mirror with insulator and wiring into position.
Install the mirror retaining nuts/screws.
Route the wiring through the door retaining tabs and reconnect the electrical connector. Make certain the wiring harness does not interfere with the window glass operation.
Install the water deflector, sound insulator and door trim panel, as required.
Mirror, Power — Outside Rear View
NOTE: This procedure applies to both RH and LH power outside rear view mirrors.
Remove the front door trim panel (23942). Refer to Section 01-05 for the removal procedure.
Remove the two outside rear view mirror inside mounting hole cover screws and the outside rear view mirror mounting hole cover (17K709) from the front door (20124).
Remove the wire clip.
Disconnect the power outside rear view mirror electrical connector.
Remove the three power outside rear view mirror bolts and the power outside rear view mirror.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Tighten the three power outside rear view mirror bolts to 3-4 Nm (27-35 lb-in).
Glass, Outside Mirror Removal and Installation
Refer to the glass replacement procedures in Manual Mirror for power outside rear view mirror glass (17K707)
Trim Cover Removal
Remove the front door trim panel. Refer to Section 01-05 for the removal procedure.
Remove the two outside rear view mirror inside mounting hole cover screws.
Remove the outside rear view mirror mounting hole cover.
To install, reverse the removal procedure.
Mirror Control Removal
Use a small flat-blade screwdriver to pry the power outside rear view mirror control switch from the instrument panel (04320).
Removal & Installation
The door outside mirrors are stud mounted to the door filler. The mirror glass face may be replaced by placing a piece of tape over the glass then breaking the mirror face. Adhesive back mirror faces are available. Left side flat and right side convex mirror faces must be replaced with the same type mirror face when surfaced.
Remove the door trim panel.
Remove the upper trim panel.
Remove the sound absorber.
Remove the (3) nuts.
Remove the control cable from the upper trim panel.
Remove the filler and mirror.
Place the filler over the studs on the mirror.
Install the control cable through the filler and connect to the upper trim panel.
Install the (3) retaining nuts and tighten to 42-72 inch lbs. (4.7-8.1 Nm).
Install the sound absorber, upper trim panel and trim panel.
if you pull the door panel you should see some nuts or bolts holding the side view mirror on there should be two or three of them. remove said nuts or bolts and be sure to disconnect the wires going to the mirror so you can remove mirror.reverse the step when reinstalling mirror. hope this helps.

REMOVAL AND INSTALLATION
Exterior Mirror Glass, 2001 model
Removal NOTE: Exterior mirror glass is serviceable only on vehicles built after July of 2001. NOTE: Passenger side exterior mirror shown, driver side exterior mirror similar. All mirrors
Position the glass in the full up position.
Locate the notch at the bottom of the exterior mirror glass.
Release the exterior mirror glass.
Insert a long flat-bladed screwdriver in the notch.
Push the screwdriver into the notch until the glass is released.
Position aside the exterior mirror glass.
Disconnect the electrical connectors.
Remove the exterior mirror glass (17K707) passenger side or (17T675) driver side.
Installation Heated mirrors
Connect the electrical connectors.
Position the exterior mirror glass on the exterior mirror motor.
Place a hand against the back of the exterior mirror housing and a hand flat against the exterior mirror glass. Press the glass in place until fully seated.
On the inside of the door (opposite the side mirror), you need to remove the cover to expose the mounting studs for the mirror. Once you remove the studs, you can then pull the mirror out from the outside of the door. Reverse the process to install the new mirror.
