Question about 2002 Volkswagen Golf
The yellow Oil Light has appeared on my dashboard. Despite adding oil the light is still lit. Any ideas what the problem could be?
The "oil light" measures the oil pressure in the engine, not the oil level in the sump. I would not drive it an inch until I had it checked by a competent mechanic. New engines are expensive!
If these suggestions do help you solve the problem, please give my reply a rating to help others judge my knowledge / guessing skills. If they do not, please add a comment with more details so I can try to help you further. Cheers, D
