How do i replace my hand brake cable on my ford falcon XH ute

wait a bit ....is it rear disc or rear drums on that ute

will assume its under dash hand brake pull lever tyoe

the disc setup may have single cables for each rear
rear disk brake cable is approx $ 150

if your XH it is close to the XE and XF set up drums
a complete one line loop cable outer and inner
with plastic grommets along the back chassis rail ( they break )
so the one inner cable works both rear handbrake shoes

hand brake cable is a shorty

undo the adjustment thread
just below the hand brake cable point up somewhere above the gearbox
(drums )
after new cable fitted
drums are adjusted with the old school way with the handbrake adjuster tool
handbrake cable adjusted

then the handbrake handle when pulled out to hold needs14 plus clicks
comes out a long way for some weird reason
on drums
if cable adjustment is done wrong onrear drums the handbrake cable will come loose in the drum as you drive along

Where can I buy weather strips to suit VY Holden commodore ute 2003

Hi,
You will be able to purchase the weather strips for your ute from your local holden dealer.
You would also be able to place and order through one of your local aftermarket retails .

How do you remove the Holden VE clutch fluid restrictor for faster gear changes ?

Is that really Holden\'s fix for synchro? Go online to an owners forum and see what they say. Its a new one on me. Google Holden SSV synchro and see what pops up?

How do I remove the rear brake drums in a 1991 Holden Barina? There is nothing to back off the shoes and it doesn't want to budge. It freely rotates so don't thimk the shoes are grabbing at all.

Some brake drums are held on by the wheels and this allows the drum to rust onto the axle hub/flange. Spray the wheel studs with WD-40 or CRC and then hit the drum between the studs with a hammer. A good hard rap will jar the drum loose on the studs and break the rust binding .

87 hilux ute one rear brake working only

maybe your drum has been machined or worn out beyond max oversiuze.or the shoes on the weak brake are reversed [primary shoe in the front insted of rear were it belongs]
or a very roug drum surface from metal to metal contact or a poor machine job
take your fingernail and drag it across the drum surface if you feel snags then have remachined or replace
