You messed up the ignition switch/lock cylinder

A pin inside the ignition lock cylinder is jammed, not allowing you to turn the key all the way back to the position it needs to be in to remove the key. If this is the first, second, or third time this has happened, you can usually just hit the end of the key with something other than your hand. It usually loosens the pin and allows you to remove the key. But this is only a fix for the first few times, after that, the pin is usually so jammed and f***ed up that you have to pay for a new cylinder. This costs around $300 at the Ford dealerships.

The steering wheel is locked in an odd position too. Try turning the steering wheel a hair, turning the key on and back off and pulling it out.
