Question about 2003 Oldsmobile Alero
The most common cause for this is the Passlock Ignition Cylinder. This is what sends the theft information to the body control module to allow it to start. Have also had bad body control modules do this as well.

I had the same thing happen to my car.When you turn it to the on position and wait 20 minutes it resets itself.what is happened to your car is the antitheft is not letting you start your car. you need a by-pass modular to bypass the antiheft so that it will allow your car to start.This is what I did to mine and I do not have any proublems with is starting now.
