Turned key, lights blinking, horn blowing, will not start. Supposedly the "key" part of the stealth was dismantled when I bought the truck. Short of going to the dealer, can this be fixed? Also, I think the battery may be ready to be replaced.

Re: Possible "stealth" lock down of truck
The truck will not start because the alarm is engaged. that is a saftey masure for new cars and trucks so that way someone who is stealing it can not get far. if part of the alarm was dismantled (disconnected) than it will not allow you to start the truck you will either have to completly disconnect the entire alarm system or take it in and have it hooked back up and reset so the truck will start

It sounds like you disturbed the wiring or the connector inside the lower portion (inside the cabin, under the dashboard) of the steering column. You may have also pinched wiring higher inside the steering column, up near the horn button. You'll need to track it all down & correct the wiring problems in (and around) the steering column.
On some models you can disable the alarm after you connect the battery by locking and unlocking the driver door with the key. I would disconnect the horn or pull the relay until you can get the alarm turned off.
this is a factory alarm, the problem is the alarm is active, you will need to use the door locks to turn alarm off, insert key in driversdoor and lock and then unlock door this will turn alarm off, if that doesnt work then use pass/side door, the lock has a built in switch that knows when the door is locked or opened, the driversdoor may have a bad switch so inturn the computer thinks the door was forced opened without key and it is turning alarm on, so again use the key to unlock door try the pass/side if driversdoor doesnt work. good day
This is adjustable through the center console, Key turned to the on position but not running, press settings, then you will see your selections, use the center knob to move up / down and enter to select. I believe it's the center choice & once you push the enter button, the display will show several options concerning locking the doors, lights, horn options for the remote. If that setting is correct and the horn isn't working, check your fuse/horn.
