Press your reset button on the on board diagnostics which is located on the dash, keep pressing the rest button until you see "oil life" once you come to the oil life, hold the reset button until it reads "Oil Life 100 percent" release the reset button, shut the vehicle off then re start it, that will turn off the message in the message center telling you to change your oil.

Essentially you need to scroll through the message center until system scan appears. enter it and a message will come up oil life press reset if new or oil life hold reset if new. Follow those instruction and the oil life will eventually change to 100%.

On the console, where the oil change light is on, scroll through the items until you get to oil life. Once at oil life, hold the reset button and it will say Engin oil new? Press reset again and this should set you oil life back to 100% without needing to disconnect your battery
