Question about 2003 Dodge Neon

1 Answer

Radio Hey, does anyone know how to take out the radio to replace it? I searched the whole owners manual and I don't want to break anything but it's way to expensive to get the mechanics to do it at 35$/hour. Thanks Shaun

My radio won't work after i replaced my battery, needs code but i don't remember it on my 2001 daewoo, nubira and i can't seem to get hold of customer service of daewoo since they went bellyup.

Hey Jeff. I can't fix it but a Chev/GM dealer can. One lost the codes to my radio and they said they found them. Had a devil of a time to find them. They should have called me as the numbers where written in the owner's manual by a previous owner. I be the numbers are out there on the web someplace. Might need the VIN to find them

Just bought 1995 Lexus from someone who was NOT the original owner, they replaced the battery and the radio stopped working..they took to a mechanic and he said the code needed to be reset. How do I find...

First thing to do is look carefully in the owners manual. A good mechanic [or owner] will write the code in either the main manual or the manual for the radio. If there is no code available, go to any Lexus dealer's parts department. Be SURE to bring your auto registration with you [to prove you own the car] The parts guy will be able to look up your radio code using the VIN [vehicle identification number] listed on your registration. Usually, there is no charge for that.
Your owners manual will spell out the procedure for entering the security code [usually 4 or 5 numbers] to get the radio working again.

Please after changing the battery of my VOLVO v40 1999 wagon car the radio requested code can you help me

This is a anti-theft device built into your radio designed to foil robbers. When the radio looses power, the radio locks up. This makes the radio worthless on the black market. The thieves know this and don't steal it as a result. Your owners manual tells you to clear the code if there will be a power loss (changing the battery). There may not be a recovery procedure.

In the GM (1995) version of this system, there is no recovery (if there were, what would be the point of the system?). I don't know the specifics of the Volvo system. You may want to talk to your dealer before you replace your radio. I am sure you will have to prove ownership of the vehicle.

Thanks for your question @ FixYa.com this morning.

Anything I should know b4 I disconnect the battery to change out a turn signal indicator light in a 2006 Lexus GX 470?

I would try to move the battery enough to replace the bulb as when you disconnect the battery the car will have to relearn drive patterns for best gas mileage shifting of transmission, and other things that the computer controls.you also may have to enter a code to get your radio to work again if you don`t have your code written in the owners manual you will have to go to the dealer to have the radio programed

Call an Audi Dealer and give them the VIN of the vehicle. They should be able to give you the code to reset the radio. It's a anti-theft thing.
