Question about 2005 Infiniti G35

1 Answer

Over heating my g35 seems to over heat but the temp gage is not going to the hot zone it stays at normal ops. i tryed to see if it could be a air pocket, by using a funnel at the radiator opening to try to burp the pocket out. all i get is the coolant over flow out over the funnel. the fans kick in and the gage stays normal. what could it be?

My heater works fine on a hot day but as soon as it gets cold it refuses to kick in.Air cond and all air vents work fine and all flaps seem to open and shut

Scott, you do not say if your heat gage gets to normal operating temp., First thing to check is to ensure coolant level is right up.
Possible bad thermostat.

Heat is not acting right

If you checked properly and coolant/rad isn't getting hot, coolant is up to proper level, then I'd replace thermostat.

Is it boiling over or do you have a bad temp gage. An easy check of the thermostat: When the engine is hot, does the heater put out heated air. If it does, then check the fan if it's electric. If it doesn't, change the thermostat.

Heating on ford puma

Hi Scott
Have you checked the valve at the bulkhead under the bonnet where the water pipes come from the engine to the heater matrix. You should feel the pipes are hot when cars running at normal temp, if they are not hot after the valve check the feed (wireing) if thats ok the valves got to be at fault.
Good luck

I have a 1993 Acura Ledgend. For some reason my heater does not continue to blow hot air, it does for a few minutes and then begain to blow cold air. It does this often now. It works and then it blows cold...

first check to see that you coolant level is full, check it after the engine has cooled down,so there is no pressure in the system. otherwise you possibly have a head gasket in the early stage of failure

U have a problem with the air temp control blend door actuator motor, very common failure. In order to replace this part the dash must come out.

Water temp gauge stay on 160 degree

should be fine as long as the gage goes up and down and you get heat it should be fine make sure you consider the outside temp. as the engine starts it will heat up get really hot the the thermostate opens and the gage will fall and should but not always stay low it could just be the ip gage.
