I can tell you what is going on under your car. This can be a sensor problem as you have guessed or it can be a brakepad problem.
Each wheel has a sensor which counts the RPM of the wheel. When the RPM of one wheel does not match the RPM of another, the Traction Control starts to work. When the Traction control loses information from 1 or more sensors you get a warning on your dash.
The loss of information can be due to dust or Brake debris blocking the sensor from picking up the signal or the sensor worked loose from the rubber holder and is hanging too far away to work. Since you also have an ABS warning, I suspect your Brake pads are worn out.
The fact that you get a warning when the wheels are turned means the front Calipers are moving alot. The Brakelines and hoses are stiff and are designed to stay in place against the backside of the Caliper. The Pads limit the travel of the Caliper so you would not be tripping the ABS sensor unless it sensed excessive movement in those parts.
Get your brakes checked. The Traction control will probably straighten out once the brakes are correct.
