Sounds like oxygen sensor. On a 93 you should have fuel injection, not carburator.I believe sensor on you vehicle is in front of air cleaner. Easy to change.

2007 Pontiac G6 stalls when trying to accelerate from a stop. The engine will re-start with no problems, but it can be dangerous in heavy traffic.

Check for vacuum leaks, fuel pressure and fuel filter. Also clean the throttle blades on the Throttlebody.

Engine cut off while driving down the highway why?

Fuel pump may be failing. Check fuel pressure at injector rail. If pressure is good and stays good, suspect fuel pump relay may be getting weak.

1998 honda civic. car wouldn't start. thinking need gas. get gas. prime throttle body (maybe a little too much accidently) however, waited a day.(battery was dying from all the attempted starting. put an...

The only matter there should be in the throttle body is air. The throttle body in no way has anything other than "nothing" in it. The liquid you see could be the gasoline you threw into the throttle body.

Getting back to your problem. Do NOT have someone looking down the throttle body while you are trying to start the engine. That person may receive a haircut he will never forget! Get the battery charged. Try to start the engine because even though you think you put too much gas in the throttle body, it may start.

The tricky part. If the engine starts and runs for a few seconds, then you are having a problem with fuel delivery and that is the fuel pump most of the time but not always.. If it does not start at all, try one more time to pour gasoline into the throttle body, hold your foot about 1/2 way down on the pedal and then try again to start it. If it still doesn't start, it's time to check for spark.

I have a 2002 trailblazer. The car stalls now for whatever reason.

The throttle body needs to be cleaned, grime in this area prevents the throttle plate from closing completely and allowing air to enter, making the air/fuel mixture lean. Make sure to clean the front and back sides of the throttle body. Also, disconnect the battery during the cleaning process to allow the computer to reset and relearn to the cleaned throttle body.

I have a 1991 Chevy s10 fuel injected 5spd and at stops the engine does not idle down after decelerating, instead it idles halfway wide open at stops. I would like to know the solution to this if possible,...

It is the gasket underneath the throttle body. It is being sucked in at one corner causing a big air leak which caused the engine to idle at about 2500 rpms. You will probably have to buy a throttle body repair kit which will include a new gasket. This should fix the problem. You didn't mention engine size, but I think the 2.8 v6 is the engine that had this gasket problem.

I have a 93 S-10 Tahoe 4WD pickup that wont start. I've changed the fuel filer and i hear the fuel pump working, but it wont start unless I pour gas or starting fluid in the throttle body. it will start...

Check the fuel pressure. Even if it's running it may not be producing pressure. See if you can keep it running on starting fluid or carbuerator cleaner. If so replace the pump.

Engine wont fire until fuel is poured in throttle body

1993 s-10 should have a 4.3 engine. Your symptoms tell me your throttle body injector is clogged, and only allows so much fuel to pass through it. Therefore, on a idle there is not enough fuel coming through to keep the engine running, or to start it. If you replace the throttle body injector your issue should cease.

I hope this information helps you, and I wish you luck on your repair.
