Question about 1998 Dodge Dakota
I would say you lost a band in the transmission. Even if it's something less expensive...it's still a hassle because you will have to take it to a shop to work on. Automatic transmissions are way too complicated to rebuild in your garage and require a buttload of specialty tools and measuring equipment.
