Question about 1995 Nissan Sentra
There is a loud ringing sound after 10 miles on a hot day. Replaced the water pump twice and the idler gear and no change. Removing the belt for the alternator and AC Compressor does not change the noise. Removing the belt for the water pump and PS pump stops the noise.
Is this a common problem with a Nissan?
It is strange to think it is a bearing problem with the PS pump that has to wait till it is warm to make the noise? There is slight movement on the PS pulley in and laterally. Does not feel bad enough to make the noise?

there is going to be a tensioner pulley near the front of the motor on top that you have to apply pressure to or you can loosen the alternator and take it off that way, just remember how it came off so you can put it back on

I have an 05 TB. I have replaced the idler pulley twice in the three years I owned it. Cheap and quick fix. Call your dealer and get the part. Problem is that the part comes with the whole bracket. Take the pulley of the new part and put it on the existing bracket already on your vehicle. 30 minute fix.
