Question about 1987 Honda Accord

1987 Honda Accord 2dr hatchback with a manual transmission.

On hot days my car starts to buck and dies. won't start for atleast 2 hours. according to the temp gauge, everything is good, not over heating. When it is cool out, I have no problems with the car....

    thanks for the quistion , that problem could be fom the thermostat , so it make you think that the car is not over heated , so try to change it , and thank you for using fixya

Sounds like ist starving for fuel, check line and filters for a block, then if no better chck carburation block or fuel pump.

1986 accord auto is stuck in first


You have a bit of metal or clutch material in a fluid passage, you will need to pull the trans valve body and have it hot tanked, if that doesn't fix it you will need an overhaul. Good luck

You probably have a faulty sensor at the transmission.

Go to your local parts store, and they can give you the part and how to install it. It's pretty easy.

1993 honda accord wont start on hot days after sitting for hours


Ussually with the Preludes the main relay for the fuel pump needs to be replaced. One that i havent seen posted yet is the 'Coolant tempature switch' near the distributor some times becomes faulty. Cheap at local auto parts dealer.
