Hi

Its flashing a transmission related fault code. Count the flashes before and after the pause and it will give you the fault code.

Post it on here as a comment and we'll tell you what it means.

If it flashes a 1 and then an 8 then you need to renew the main relay.

Geordie

    Hi

I think its above the brake pedal on bracket along with a few other gadgets and its either orange or grey, but I suppose orange and rown are a close match!

"Guest" with the same problem, have a read of the posts I made on this thread about the fault code and the main relay and see what you come up with. If you need to, just click the "ASK ME" button under my dodgy round faced picture!!

I got 94 honda accord that in hot weather wont turn over. and the d4 light flashes. how do i get the codes off the computer?

you can take it to an autozone or advance auto parts to have them erase the codes from the computer for free. but are you sure you want to do that? the codes may never come up again and the issue may continue. just a thought. thank you for choosing fixya.com!

D4 light will flash and car wont start

Might need to replace your transmission control module located under your pass side floor carpet. Remove the plastic kick panel to the right of the passenger's foot, carefully pull back as much carpet as you can. There you'll see the cage for the ECU and your trans control unit. The trans computer is the smaller one. Good luck.

92 honda accord lx D4 flashes

you have a transmission fault the D4 light blinks to tell you that there is a transmission problem when the light is blinking the transmission computer put the transmission into limp home mode so it will not shift normally and you should try not to drive it very far when it gets to this stage you need to have the transmission codes check to pin point the problem

1992 honda accord stutters when accelerates

Check the catalytic converter. If the carbon monoxide cant get out, it sometimes will act like this. It plugs up over time.

Has it ever been replaced??

I did mine about 2 months before I got rid of my Civic.

By the way, the exhaust system on most Hondas is the Welded, so you have to pull off the whole line from the back of the motor to the muffler.

Whats wrong?

D4 is an indicator that there are trouble codes stored.Trouble codes on that year Honda are pulled manually.Once the trouble codes are identified, there are diagnostic routes to follow to determine the problem.

94 accord d4 light

Hi

It could be from the sounds of it but just to be sure you need to count the flashes and pauses from the light because it is actually flashing a fault code at you.

If you want to check it I think it is located above the brake pedal on a bracket which also mounts a few other gadgets.

It will either be grey or orange.
