Another problem.... I recently had a new radiator installed in the van...Now, when I drive, the van overheats..I also discovered that the fan is not rotating....what would be a good "guess-timation" on what this will cost me to fix?

Have the responsible party re-connect the fan cabling for starts. If it's sensor related, or if you need new fan(s) will determine your outlay on this project...accordianman

Losing water causing overheating

My first question is make model and year.
Second, are you saying the engine is boiling over into the overflow tank and onto the ground ? Is the tank about half full when the engine is cold ?
Have you run the engine with the thermostat removed to test ?
Usually when you can hear the coolant moving around, you have air in the system and it is not full of liquid coolant.

Engine overheats while driving approx 20 mins - does not overheat in idle - radiator was changed (new)due to leak, thermostat is new and is installed correctly, new cap as well-could it be water pump? it's...

Check to see that the electric fan is coming on, there are two fans on this vehicle. The sender for the fan is right in front of the engine near the water housing, and is a common problem. Good Luck.

2000 Plymouth Voyager Overheating

The radiator cooling fan relay has most likely failed. It is underneath the air cleaner on the frame rail just behind the radiator. NO cooling fan = overheating. This is the first thing i would look at. Best way to tell is when the van gets hot see if the cooling fan is on. You will hear it running if it is coming on. It will set a code for the cooling fan relay also.
