I am having problems with my dash board area. My turn signals, whipers, radio, A/c, cig. lighter are not working. I tested the battery and its ok. Cked all my fuses and they are fine. I do have an after market radio installed but that has been in for a while. Can you help me?

Are they workin on the out side of the vehicle if so behind the dashboard there is wiring that plugs into it check and see if those are plugged in and the cig liter there is a plug behind it and the radio there should be a fuze in the back of it if not on the radio check to see if you have power to the radio and see if the ground is connected good

It is the ignition switch it cost about ten dollars at the part store. I have a 91 jeep cherokee and it was doing the same thing I replaced that and haven't had any more problems.

get the oper, guide

its there. shows the schematic and full fuse box data.
you could just check the fuses... no need for a book, at all
check them. if some are blown then they need to be replaced
or the short found.

Dash and shifter lights in 1996 jeep cherokee wont light

Hello and welcome to FixYa . Locate the dial that controls the brightness of the dashboardlights. If the control is not immediately evident. Make sure the brightness control is turned on. If it is and the lights aren't working, the problem may be a bad fuse. Check the fuse that controls the dashboard lights Replace the fuse if necessary. If just one part of the instrument panel is not lighting up, then you have either a burned-out bulb or a wiring problem.

try replacing the ignition switch(not the ignition lock[where the key goes]).it will probably be located on top of the steering column , towards the bottom.but before going through with this make sure the connectors to the switch are fully plugged in.
