Question about 2004 Kia Rio
Have a 2004 Kia Rio Cinco manual. It has 72,000 miles on it. The car seems will run fine most of the time but off and on the check engine light will come on. When the light comes on the car feels like it has a lot of pull on the engine and when this happens it won't go over 35 miles an hour. I think that somehow its not firing above a certain RPM. Is there some sort of RPM sensor that could go wrong to cause this issue?
If the check engine light is going on and off then it is very highly likely pointing to a misfire, and this could be due to any number of things, and your best bet by far is to have a code read done as this will give you information as to the cause of the problem, if not point you directly at the problem itself.
It could be coil packs, spark plugs, injectors, crank sensor, cam sensor, any number of things.
