2008 Lexus ES 350 low tire pressure warning light

1) go to a gas station with an air pump. Unless u have an inflator/compressor at home with the tireattachment

2) lower all 5 air pressures including the spare in the trunk to maybe about 28 PSI

3) now reset the TPMS (on the 07 there is a button to "calibrate" the TPMS and it is located under the dash. I presume it is the same on the 08.)

4) now bring the pressue back up to 30/32 or whatever it says on the door area

If this doesn't work, it is possible u have a defective TPMS
but my bet right now would be that someone "calibrated" the TPMS to the current tire pressure so the light is constantly on. It happened to me before when my daughter was messing around and hit that button.

TPMS light stays on?

If your air pressure is ok in your tires, then your light stays on because the batteries in the sensors have gone bad. They only have a life span of 4-6 years or so. You have to replace the sensors in the wheels and then "calibrate" them. If you are doing one, do all four, because if one goes bad the others are close behind it and you don't want to have to calibrate them each time one goes bad. I ordered mine online, saving almost $200 ! Your dealer or some tire dealers can install and calibrate them.

Low tire pressure light stays on

check all tire pressures and make sure they are correct. if this is good then the TPMS need to be calibrated and you need a tool to do this.

Service Tire Monitor

You most likely will need dealer help on this, these older TPMS are not easy to calibrate, it requires a scanner. Next time you need to disconnect the battery use a small charger so the system remains powered up and you don't experience this kind of lost data problem

How do you reset (TPS) Tire Pressure Monitoring system on my 2007 EOS. Had a flat, fixed it and indicator light will not go off.

make sure the key is on then press the tire display set button by the shifter until you hear the chime then the next time you start the car the light should go out (double check to make sure all tire pressures are correct first)

New sensors in tires an ltpws is still coming on. 1990 corvette

this system can be disabled, since these early systems are a real pain to calibrate and VERY expensive to repair have the dealer hook up a scanner and disable the TPMS (tire pressure monitor system)

How do i reset the tpms on a 08 implala SS after a tire rotation, without a owners manual

You have two minutes to match the first tire/wheel position, and five minutes overall to match all four tire/wheel positions. If it takes longer than two minutes, to match the first tire and wheel, or more than five minutes to match all four tire and wheel positions the matching process stops and you need to start over.
The TPMS sensor matching process is outlined below:
  1. Set the parking brake.
  2. Turn the ignition switch to ON/RUN with the engine off.
  3. Press the Remote Keyless Entry (RKE) transmitter's lock and unlock buttons at the same time for approximately five seconds. The horn sounds twice to signal the receiver is in relearn mode and TIRE LEARNING ACTIVE message displays on the DIC screen.
  4. Start with the driver side front tire.
  5. Remove the valve cap from the valve cap stem. Activate the TPMS sensor by increasing or decreasing the tire's air pressure for five seconds, or until a horn chirp sounds. The horn chirp, which may take up to 30 seconds to sound, confirms that the sensor identification code has been matched to this tire and wheel position.
  6. Proceed to the passenger side front tire, and repeat the procedure in Step 5.
  7. Proceed to the passenger side rear tire, and repeat the procedure in Step 5.
  8. Proceed to the driver side rear tire, and repeat the procedure in Step 5. The horn sounds two times to indicate the sensor identification code has been matched to the driver side rear tire, and the TPMS sensor matching process is no longer active. The TIRE LEARNING ACTIVE message on the DIC display screen goes off.
  9. Turn the ignition switch to LOCK/OFF.
  10. Set all four tires to the recommended air pressure level as indicated on the Tire and Loading Information label.
  11. Put the valve caps back on the valve stems.

09 wrangler x...tires now wrangler 255 75 17 sra.. if i put diff tires on that require more pressure how do i avoid TPMS..thanx

You either have the sensors removed from the tires entirely or may be able to have them calibrated at a local tire service center. However they may or may not be able, or be willing to do this. If the pressure difference is very minimal, I would consider leaving them at the same pressure so you dont have to get yourself in to this situation.
