No you must take the fan clutch and fan off, that's not easy sometimes, usually the fan and clutch are pulled off using a pulling tool before you remove the pump, take it to a machine shop or Auto zone may help pull it. good luck

Need to locate and replace the water pump on 1997 nissan sentra.

The water pump is located on the passanger side of the engine. Look right below the timing chain cover and there is a pully and belt on the water pump. You will have to remove the water pump and thermostate together then seperate them after you get them off the car. I would recommend replacing the thermostate also (cheap fix). You will have to remove the belt and pully before you can remove the water pump. Hope this helps....

My 2005 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo is running hot, should I believe it is the water pump? I still have heat.

Yes a bad water pump will definitely cause it to run hot. you'll probably be able to hear it as well as a whinning noise from the front of the engine. Also check for really low or incorrect fluid. jeeps are know for bad water pumps and leaky radiators. the heater pump is a seperate pump from the water pump. Also check for radiator fan opperation while the vehicle is stopped. If the fan is not coming on, it could be a fuse, relay, or intake air temp sensor.

How do you remvoe the radiator fan from the clutch on a 97 dodge ram pick up

To seperate the fan from the fan clutch there should be four small bolts that keep them together. Not sure thats what you are looking for but if you are trying to seperate the fanclutch from the water pump then you need a special tool to hold the pully from turning with the one hand while turning the fan clutch nut with the other they rent these tools at autozone.Once youve seperated the fan clutch from the water pump then you can take the fan off the clutch by removing the four small bolts. Please rate my assistance in helping you thank you.

Diagram for 2001 jetta 2.0. water pump needs replaced. where is it?

The water pump is driven off of the timing belt. Might as well do T-belt and access. while you are in there.

Oh, and make sure the replacement pump has a metal (brass) impeller. The factory pump has a metl shaft w/a plastic impeller. Once in a while these cause somebody a headache when the impeller seperates

My car doesn't start after putting gas in it

hmmm, is it a diesel or gas powered VW?

if gas, did you use E85 fuel? this will make it very difficult to start and run very poorly once runing. I would suggest a fuel sample be drawn. but first, call the suplying fuel station and ask them if any issues with their fuel. It is becoming more of a trend that teh 10% ethanol is "dropping out" of the fuel. this process is called "phase seperation". phase seperation occurs when water becomes mixed with gasoline that is mixed with ethanol. the enthanol is loosely bonded to the fuel itself, but is much more deireablke to mix with water than gas. so when your service statiojn refills their underground tanks, and the water content in bottom of tank is high, the water mizes with the fuel and pulls the ethanol out of it. the ethanol sits on bottom of storage tank, waiting to be pumped into your car by the submersed pumps in the bottom of now that chemistry class is your gas station, ask them if issues with fuel, if co..great! they will tell you what to do next..if not, draw a fuel sample and if it looks like ditch water with water down looking maple syrup like goo in it..that is phase seperation @ its finest.

hope this helps you

your 4 thumbs up is appreciated
