2006 Mazda Tribute 2nd 3.0, 6 cyl. Tail lights do not work with new bulbs. Front lights all work and all brake lights work just not the tail lights.

Did it have reversing lights originally? All of the lights are monitored by the BCM. Things could get funky if they were there and are now missing.

Check the bulbs with a multimeter and also check that the bulb contacts aren't corroded.

The easiest fix is to find a good local auto-electrician.

Check the ground wire and check for damaged wires. You can use a wire and test the bulbs with the battery. Those lights are on the trunk lid?. You may need to remove the cover for the wires and follow it and where it bends when opening may be the first place to look.

My resverse lights on my mazda 323 GLXi wont work Ive replaced bulb and checked fuses any other ideas?

There is a switch in the shifter that turns the reverse lights on when you put it in reverse. This switch is your problem.

My reverse lights dont work put new bulbs in but still dont work

you might have a reverse switch fault check on the box to see if it is connecting to the gear leaver when you put it in reverse..if not then that will have to be replaced, it might be the plunger in the switch broken or worn away..hope this helps

Mazda 3 reverse light problems

Check the bulbs if fuse not gone, otherwise it is the reverse switch sensor on the gearbox, not an expensive part but not easy to replace by your own

When i switch the gear on reverse the reverse lights are off. either when i indicate to turn the indicators lights are just off. can you assist me please

First check the bulbs, than the fuse box, if this does not help it will be the reverse light switch (sensor)on the gearbox, and with indicators, try to put hazards and see what happens, if they work, than the relay for indicators might need to be replaced, if they don't than also the relay must be replaced, if the relay is not the problem than it will be the main column switch

Mazda 6 reverse lights

ITS POSSIBLE THAT YOUR REVERSE LIGHT SWITCH IS FAULTY BEST WAY TO FIND OUT IS TO DISCONNECT REVERSE SWITCH AT G/BOX & BRIDGE OUT CONNECTIONS WITH IGN ON & IN REVERSE LIGHTS SHOULD GO ON IF THEY DO THEN ITS YOUR SWITCH.
