I have a 1993 Buick Regal Custom. With the remote the truck would pop open and stay open. Something happened and the trunk will not stay up. I need to change the hinges. Please instruct me how to take these hinges apart. Thanks Ron

Check the rear compartment lid unlatch relay in the under hood fuse box . The open switch is an input to the BCM - body control module , when pushed the BCM applies B+ voltage to energize the relay sending B+ voltage to lid latch motor opening the trunk . If not the relay the BCM may be at fault . May have DTC'S - diagnostic trouble codes stored .
The fuse for the door locks and the following : Courtesy, glove box,Underhood, Trunk, Header lights etc....Cig lighter...P Mirrors...is the "3" position & is 15 amp....panel is inside glove box, pull cover down for access.
Your receiver is located in the trunk, On the passenger side. If you look at the speaker on the passenger side, about 4 inches back or 7: o clock mounted on the same panel that the speakers are mounted to is you receiver. A small square box like 2X2 with wires running tword the passenger side. If you see the bundle of wires attached to the trunk hinge and follow the only set running to the driver side is it.
