Question about 2004 Nissan Quest

2 Answers

CD player We recently bought a 2004 Nissan Quest. Needless to say that we never checked if the CD player worked. Well it works but will not eject the CD left behind from the previous owners. That's ok if we want to listen to Dave Matthews the whole time we own the car but we much rather play some of our own CD's. Any idea how to fix or remove CD player from console so as to remove the stuck CD. Any ideas greatly appreciated. Thanks!

The CD player in my 2004 Nissan Quest will not eject CDs. Is there a place I can get a used or aftermarket CD deck without having to go to the dealer?

I've tried the "usual suspects" with no luck so far.

i have the same prob. all 6 of my cds are stuck in the player, nissan wants 1k to even take the stereo out (i have 67k miles, of course). can't find aftermarket stereo, so guess i will try to hardwire thru aux input for my mp3 player and hope that works!

I had the same problem here is the results
#1 get some roch clips & rip it out. this will ruin your cd and the next one you put in will also get stuck.
the next thing is you can't find an after market player beacuse it wont fit into console.
My solution.
I bought the extended warranty and foud out it was covered. So they replaced it.
You can only get the deck replaced by Nissian.
Or you can go to cartoys and they can hook a wire straght to the deck for MP3's. this works better because the ones that beam the signal to the radio seemed to have alot of interferance.
-good luck.

Hi... We just bought a used 2004 nissan quest, the radio was working fine then all of a sudden one day it stopped working. Anyway to fix it??? Thank you

Hello,
I just bought a 04 quest, and my radio would go out also. If you tap the console from the side, or you go over railroad track and it comes in and out, then there is a penny or some kind of change in the CD player. It also shorted out my DVD system. I went to the GV Electronics to have the dealership replace the DVD/TV, and they found a penny shorting out the Disc Player. (the previous owners kid must have put a penny in the CD hole.)

Controls for radio/cd player work on and off.

I had similar issues with my audio being mute intermittenly. I ended up being a penny in the CD player slot. (I think the previous owners kid put a penny thru the CD player slot) It also shorted out my DVD system, the DVD player would not come on. The dealership where I bought it seen me to GV Electronics to have my DVD player replaced, and they removed my CD Player and heard change banging around in the Player. After dis assembling it, they found the penny. Everytime I hit a bump or go over railroad tracks, the audio would mute.

Cd stuck in my in dash player in my car

recently had this problem, take two credit cards or id, and use them as tweezers to pull out cd(s). It works better, faster, and does little to none scratches on your cd(s).

You could probably get some gently used cheap ones on Ebay.

Good luck!
