How do i change the coolent on s type jaguar

The easiest and cheapest way is to take this to a Rapid Oil change type of place. They will hook it up, flush and replace the entire system. Doing this yourself is not hard but you will only save about 10 dollars.

My 2004 Impala keeps overheating. it says coolent temp hot. i dont smell anything thing nor do i see any type of smoke or steam. i had thermastat replace and ignition wire replace but no luck. the car...

There are other things to be checked, such as the radiator fan and the water pump. You would need to find out if the fan is coming on at 220 degrees and if the pump is pulling coolant thru the radiator.

Cooling fans won't turn on. I replaced coolent

You need a wiring diagram

That would tell you what you did,as
you know what terminals you jumped

Then you look over the rest of the circuit

Your lucky you didn't short something out

Fluid leeking under dash

It sounds like your heater core is leaking, and will have to be replaced. I don't know how difficult it is to replace on your car. Hopefully, the core has an access door for removal. On some cars the dash has to come out to replace the core. It's a major pain when that is the case. Good luck.

My 1996 Maxima leaks water from what looks like a hose going into the front of the engine block

ok check the hose if its very soft feeling you may need to replace sounds like a coolent hose. also make sure the hose is tight on the block fitting maby the band has worked loose may just need to be tightned, then refill your radiatior with new fluid. you should be fine. remember to do this after the car is completly cool you dont need a coolent burn and it will stay hot awhile so its best to get the hose you need [if you need one] the day before with the coolent, that way you can do it first thing in the morning when its cool. also if green coolent comes out green coolent goes back if orange coolent comes out orange coolent goes back in. never mix those typs of coolents they are not compatible.. you will probily loose all you coolent so drain it at the bottom of radiator before you start. unless you like laying in it to work on the hose. then refill all is well.. i hope this helped you.. also youtube has alot of good videos on radiator type stuff just type in radiator hose replace and you should get alot of videos on how to do it. who knows they may even have one with the same model as your car.. again i hope this helps good luck

I wan to replace the coolant thermast, bu I don't know where the coolant thermastat is located.

if you want to replace your thermostat for the coolent it is located off the upper hose from the radiator going into the top of the motor. you will have to remove the hose from the housing then remove the housing itself and the thermostat will be sitting right there on top. make sure you remember whitch way its faceing so when you replace it you dont sit it down backwards or upsidedown.. also its a good idea to disconnect the battery because you should have ground wires running to the housing. make sure you have the proper gaskett also.. if you need to see it done first go to youtube videos and just type in changing thermostat there are alot of good videos that should help you out... i hope this helps get you going in the right direction..

Need to change coolent in radiater ,does this take a special kind of coolent and do i need to use a special type of radiater flush. Also is there a drain on the radiater?

You don't need to use a special kind of radiator flush, but the coolant is called DEX COOL. It's made by prestone specifically for GM engines, you can get it at walmart for like 5 bucks.
