My heat is out on my pontiac torrent. ive reserched a it seems that the blender may be te problem. is this something i can fix? is there a tech manual out there?

I got this free Pdf man ual from reliable-store for free and I don't think Ive visited a mechani c or fixya for help for more than 3-4 times out of the 20 times I fixed the chipper in these 4 years

I don't know anything about the 2008 Pontiac but I bet the makers know. And assembly workers had assembled this model at the factory. Bet they may know something. Liberties have clues researching their stock of workshop manuals on the Torrent. And I bet entering key words of the fault in a search engines on youtube that may produce some interesting youtube videos on the torrent. What ever the choice you make I hope you come up with something that may help.

What's with all these people suggested dealerships look at the issue? The dealers usually want to charge you an arm and a leg to fix something very simple. The above link has the remedy to this issue.


You may have to purchase the fuse from a dealership.

I suggest another technician, Normal is a cop out answer. Something is rubbing or squeaking and likely will deteriorate. Much easier to fix than go nuts and have to pay for a shrink. You may need to go to an independent shop for this fix. I would not be pleased with the normal statement....

Did you have done tune up?this is related but is too late catalytic is gone I heard you can put something to gas to burn out, ask in the auto zone.If you put cheap catalytic problem will be the same difference will be less money in the pocket.

make sure coolant is proper and is circulating good.try changing the thermostat it may be sticking closed. also bleed air from system if need be.

your air damper or diverter may not be working.this is basically a mechanism that opens a flap by your heater core to control the amount of hot air that comes out.There is a rod that this flapper pivots on and if this rod is broken or the motor that operates it is not working you will either have heat all the time or no heat at all depending on which position it broke at.I know because my torrent has the same problem.To fix my problem they have to remove the dashboard to access the heater core which amounts to major $$$. I hope your problem is an easier fix. good luck
