Yes its not very hard to replace the oil filter on mazda 6.You don't need a special tool. Use a 6mm allen to remove the filter drain plug. It will probably start to spin the filter housing. You can remove the housing by hand or with a regular oil filter wrench. ---------------- There is a step by step guide provided to replace oil filter on mazda 3.I am aware that yours is mazda 6,but still check the step by step guide to replace the oil filter on mazda 3.This will give you more help on replacing the oil filter. Click on the link and go through the guide with diagrams and instructions:---- http://robert.aitchison.org/tiki-page.php?pageName=Mazda3+DIY+Oil+Change --------------------- I hope this will help you.Thanks.Helpmech.

How to change oil filter housing,2001 dodge stratus

The Oil filter "housing" is not only that, it has a small oil cooler that uses the radiator coolant circuit to reduce the oil temps. It is easy to change, but not as easy to get as it is not a commonly sold ?tem. Is goes to the engine block with a stub threaded nipple and large nuts. Amclaussen.

Where is the oil filter located? is it easy to change?

The Oil Filter will be mounted on the top or the bottom of the engine, if you crawl under to change the oil & look up it's usually pretty easy to spot. Most of the time the will be colored (blue, orange, yellow) depending on the brand. It's canister shaped & should screw off fairly easily. make sure the oil has been drained from the vehicle 1st.

Do I need a mechnic for changing oil in my chevi

No. The oil is very easy to change. All you need is a filter wrench and a 15 mm. socket, and a drain pan. Get under the truck and the oil filter is right there and the drain plug is in the oil pan. Drain the oil first, then remove the oil filter with the filter wrench. Take your finger and dip it in the oil and put a film of oil on the new oil filter gasket. Then install the new oil filter. Once you install the new oil filter, put the drain plug back in. Then put 5 quarts of new oil in the oil fill.

Low oil pressure warning light comes on. oil level is ok

four theories.. two easy.. two not so easy.
one. oil filter is plugged.- change the filter
two. the pick up screen in the oil pan is clogged.- remove oil pan(if you go this far change the oil pump on speculation)
three. the oil pump itself is worn out of tolerance.- remove oil pan, change pump
four. the sensor is defective- change the sensor on side of engine.

How to oil change 2005 Mercedes Benz E320 Cdi

Mercedes makes it easy! Get a 10 quart oil pump and draw the oil out of the dipstick tube. The oil filter is on top so can be removed with a filter wrench and easily replaced. No need to jack the car up or crawel under. No fuss no mess and a 10 minute oil change!!!

Oil and filter change

Jack it up and then put jack stands under the frame. You really need to purchase a good floor jack and 2 jack stands if you wish to change your own oil. This will allow you easy access to the underside. There is only one way to actually change the oil and filter.
