Disconnect your Battery.
Remove your air intake and filter housing all the way to the throttle body. Then use a shop rag and release te pressure in the fuel system by the valve on the fuel rail. use the rag to absorb the fuel as it sprays out the fuel rail.
then you unsrew the 2 bolts holing the rail in place.
Then you pry the rail away from the manifold with a flat head.
being careful not to loose any of your injector seals.
when done clean both your injector seats and the rail seats.
use some assembly lube or shop grease to lubricate all of your injector seals upper and lower seals.
remount all parts as you dismounted.
reconnect your battery cylce the ignition key 4-5 times before starting the egine, and check for leaks. if there is no leak then go ahed and start your engine.

and which fuel system. ?????

is this your car engine, (wild guess) USA cars only not export Jeeps.

The throttle body fuel injection is used on 1987-90 Wranglers equipped with the 2.5L engine and is a "pulse time'' system that uses a single solenoid-type injector to meter fuel into the throttle body above the throttle plate. Fuel is metered to the engine by an Electronic Control Unit (ECU),

and 3 or 4 diffr. EFI systems, im not much help
why folks post engine free ,amazes me....

it takes 2 things.
fuel pressure over 30psi (generic)
and the noid lamp passing on injector.

and the knowledge that all jeeps,(cars) cut fuel (gas)
if the PCM see and errors with (crank for 5 seconds)
1: spark?
2: CMP?
3: CKP?
4: if IMMO , that too, no imm on 87, think , go lazy to look up.

If the NOID lamps fail x6 (no injection pulses)
then the ASD relay is dropping out)
87 is the really really old RENIX/Benicx injection system. on 4L
i had a 88. same car.
see for permissive to inject.

on my old I6 4L Renix sys
the injectors are all grounded , that is correct
and the ECU drives this hot switched ! unlike most cars.
back then the ASD was called the LATCH relay.
if it dont pull in and stay , it will not run.

Ill stop there. until you say what engine and country car resides.
export jeeps are wired different (laws)

Check your temp sensor. if it's out of range it could be sending incorrect readings to the computer. Also check the white ceramic block on the drivers side fender back near the brake cylinder. It is a resistor that affects pump pressure on start up.

Will not start no only turns over, there is a gas smell, could a fuse or should I replace the coil? what else should I check before replacing coil? thank you in advance

I had the same problem, check your O-rings on your fuel injectors and make sure your fuel injectors are clear of any blockages. With age and low grade fuel, heat and lack of fuel injector treatments can cause them to wear out. Also sometimes the fuel injectors can be cleaned even if they are blocked but replacing the O-rings is a much cheaper solution.

Fuel injectors could be clogged. Try adding a basic fuel injector cleaner on your next fill up.

Check the fuel pressure at the shredder valve, you should have 13 to 13.5psi, anything other then that will give you problems in the GM TBI. If the pressure is bad, then you may have to replace the fuel pressure regulator at the bottom of the TB.
Good luck and keep me posted.
