Question about 1997 Volkswagen Jetta
I recently bought a 1997 VW Jetta GLX VR6. Occasionally, the car will lurch (hiccup), both in low and higher gears while driving city or highway. This only happens sporadically (about 2-3 times during a 30-40min drive).
However, today, it lurched and almost stalled as I was approaching an off-ramp. I drove into the mall, had a burger at Wendy's and drove home without incident (about 5 miles).
Any idea(s) what the problem is or needs to be looked at/repaired? Thx. in advance.
When something in the car's faulty and a sensor picks it up and tells the computer, the computer will cause the car to do exactly that. Could be anything, from a damaged air intake sensor to the breaks.
Have your car connected to a computer and let the computer do the talking for you.
