Im not sure what type of fluid goes in the manual trans on my cavalier.

Schromesh i had a major problem finding it, finally found it at auto zone-- good luck putting it in if your doing it yourself its underneath the motor

Honda recommends "Honda Genuine Manual Transmission Fluid". I've been using Amsoil Manual Synchromesh Transmission Fluid for the past 48,000 miles and have had no issues.

What is the capacity for transsmission pan in my chevy cavalier 2.4 1997


If you're just dropping the trans pan of an AUTOMATIC transmission; about 5 quarts. If you mean the entire transmission, its more like 10 quarts. If it's a MANUAL trans, it's a little under 2 quarts.

Unless it's a manual trans every transmission has a dipstick for checking fuid levels, a manual trans has a hex head plug for checking the gear oil level...
