Remove 2 screws from the top of your knee bolster, remove the two screws behind that for the cluster bezel and the two from the top of the bezel and pull it out of the way. Once you look at it, it will be self explanatory.
You will now be able to access the gauge cluster. Remove the 4 screws holding the cluster in place and then unplug the wiring harness.

How To Fix The Speedometer On My 04 GMC envoy

My 2004 Envoy SLT guages are working then they aren't. Mainly the speedometer and fuel hand.

More than likely the stepper motors that drive the gauges are going bad, this a common problem on these instrument clusters. There are several repair services listed on E-bay who repair clusters, if you are willing and capable of removing it from the vehicle.

if it auto transmission , the ratio changes and the speedo reading is affected by the VSS sensor ( around $100 from reports)
if the transmission is running well other than that it will not need a transmission just and transmission oil change
suggest that you find an accredit professional transmission shop and have a proper diagnosis done

Electrical Problem with speed gauge, RPM and dash board lignts.

That is a manufacturing defect associated with your instrument cluster. My local dealer replaced my entire instrument cluster for free (truck was out of warranty) when my speedometer showed 100 mph in a parking lot and my oil pressure gauge read 0.
