I engaged me 4x4 and drove about 6 miles i disengaged the 4x4 and the light stays on . the truck only spins the back tires so that tells me the 4x4 is disengaged. why would the light stay on?

It sounds like you have different size tires on the front than on the back causing the t-case to bind up. If not, your having an engagement/disengagement issue in the t-case or the shift actuator for the t-case

lot of time 4X4 will engage only in neutral and disengage in neutral. some times switching from drive to neutral and revers will help to disengage. just sake back and for till you feel the 4X4 is off.

my computer problem is hard disk system found warantty hard disk

check for a vacuum leak under the truck above the transimission

youve probably have got a bad hub. with an open front differintial it will spin the tires in the air but not when torgue is applied.

The light blinks to alert you that a problem exists in the control module for the 4X4, contact expert Toyota Ed he is the service manager of a Toyota dealer, he knows his stuff
