My 96 chevy blaz fuel pump want a coulple month back so i replaced the filter and pump it ran find for about a month than it just stop working again I was sorry it was the feul pump again becaues i can't hear it coming on so I had it change out again with the filter but now it back fire and stalled out going down the road sometime than it just doesn't want to start so I get out hit the tank and it will start and sometime it doesn't want to start

96 through 99 s10 blazers have a problem with the wireing to the fuel pump its not a restance wire and tends to over heat and corroade And thereis an upgrade the service bulletin #25215705 through a company called delphi they make pumps to replace the chevy ones there vastly better and half the price the kit comes with the pump the problem it the connecter to the pump is different and the wires need to be cut off the wireing harnest because that is the failaure the wire Idon;t know what kind of pump you got but if you have had the tank out before you must know it comes out and if you drop it 2 to3 inchs you could pull the harnest out cut out the bad wireing and replace whale still useing the same connector I know this must **** to hear it should have been a recall but its whats real the date was march 2007 I feel sorry pier.j if you need more info feel free
