Fuses? I was wondering if a fuse is blown if the gas gauge and temp gauge are not working on the 1998 chevy malibu LS and where are the fuses located if so?

My blinkers went out and then my hazards. I changed both of those fluids and the blinkers and the hazard lights were working for a very short time and then they both went out and so did all of my gauges. The gas gauge, Temp gauge, RPM, and Speedometer.
    Help! What can I do?

The gauges and the blower should be on different circuits. The blower uses a 30amp fuse or bigger.

First, Please review this article: Where's The Fuse?

Then, Yes, there is a fuse that powers your gauges. Actually, there are two of them. They are both located in the left wiring harness junction block. (On left side of dash) One is marked "IPC/BFC ACC" and the other is marked "IPC/HVAC BATT". Both are red 10 Amp fuses.

There is a fuse box located in the trunk on the drivers side. Remove the panel and the fuse is #20..also a 20 AMP fuse.

1998 chevy malibu fuse question

Sounds like you have a ground problem, i doubt its in the sending units as both gauges are acting strange work, seeing that electricity likes paths of least resistance one gauge could be grounding through another. Bad grounds wreak havoc on electrical systems.
