1987 ltd crown victoria in alaska. Did oil change and added coolant at an autoshop, caused the heat to come back on. 1 week in -20 degree wheater later car starts after waitin 10 min+. Engine would do 1...

did you use normal coolant or a glycerol based anti freeze, this prevents your coolant from freezing in sub zero temperatures, the other big thing is the viscosity of the oil, that means how thick the oil is at different tempratures, colder ambient temprature lower the number, etc.

I wander what is the normal temperature range for M.E200,1998?

80C. Summer time city driving, it reaches 90C from time to time. It's OK.

I would check a few things if goes over 90C. These things are simple ones...

- level of coolant
- activation of fan 110-120 IS TOO HIGH!

Check gage light came on. what does that mean?

that comes on when it sees a gauge like oil pressure or temprature out of range Like its hot or maybe lost oil pressure, It could even be the tach or a check eng light causing it, See what one doesnt seem to be in normal range

Temperature gauge back and forth between normal

the fan comes on and off based on the "temperature sending unit" thats a thermal switch mounted on the radiator .. it is normal for the temperature to fluxuate as the fan turns on and off .. if it is allowed to get too hot before turning on then the temperature sending unit should be replaced ...while the car is moving the fan may never come on and isnt needed as long as air is flowing through the radiator .. as long as you are not loosing coolant then the temperatures are probably within proper range ... a sticking thermostat can also cause increased temperature range fluxuations .. that will show up as large swings of temp while driving .....

When i drive the car the temperature is ok. When I switch off the engine the temperature increases to 3/4 of the gauge

This condition is not unusual. It is called heat soaking. When you turn off the engine or are not moving there is no air crossing the radiator. There is also no water circulation and the fans are not running. It is a normal condition. Good Luck

Intake air temprature sensor

Air intake temperature sensor is fitted in the hose from the air cleaner box to the intake manifold. You will see a unit with electrical connection .
Hope this helps

Location of toyota camry 1995 themostart

Hi Ade

Its normal for the temperature gauge to be at almost half when the engine is warm. If it rise above the half then you have cause for concern or if it is well below half when your car is really warm, then you may want to check it out as well.
