Hi, the MAP sensor detects low vacuum in the intake manifold and essentially tells the computer you are stepping on the accelerator. The computer uses this data to increase the fuel/air ratio for acceleration. If your car is hesitation when you step on the pedal, this sensor may not be operating properly. For us to help you better, we would need to know the trouble codes the shop is reading on their scanner and also the symptoms you are experiencing.
what code is coming up if it coming up as a lean 02 sensor could be a vacuum leak btw i hate fords too but i will never tell a customer that and direct them to dealer that just bad business did he charge you to replace the 02 sensors ? i wouldn't pay him because he diagnose the problem wrong and put a part in that wasn't probably bad that was his mistake not yours as far as the computer being bad i doubt it bad if only code coming up is the 02 sensors
far as replace the computer with a used one yes you can but depending on year of car computer might need to be reprogrammed my best advice for you is to take it to a Mechanic that knows what there doing and find out what the real problem is
P0135 is 02 heater circuit ( Bank 1, sensor 1 ). P0138 is 02 circuit high voltage ( Bank 1, sensor 2). It is a good idea to replace all 4, 02 sensors at the same time, otherwise the 2 new 02 sensors on bank #1 will be transmitting Data back to the computer at a faster rate then the old ones on bank #2 And this could cause other problems. Remember to have the codes cleared from the computer after all repairs are finished. If you do not the computer will keep turning on the check engine light.
-also that way if the light ever comes on again you already know it will be for something new.Good Luck and have a good XMASS.
A variety of issues will result in poor fuel mileage:

When was the last time the plugs, plug wires and air filter were replaced? If you can't remember, then it is time to replace them.
MOST OF THE TIME AN 02 CODE DOES NOT MEAN REPLACE 02 SENSOR..SOME AUTO PARTS STORES WILL SCAN YOUR CAR..TELL YOU CODE 02 SO PEOPLE AUTOMATICALLY REPLACE SENSORS...IF YOU CLEAR THE CODES DOES THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT COME BACK ON RIGHT AWAY OR DOES IT TAKE A LITTLE TIME... IF IT TAKES A LITTLE TIME THEN YOU HAVE SOME PROBLEMS THAT ARE CAUSING THE EMMISSIONS TO BE OUT OF RANGE.. IF THE LIGHT COMES BACK ON RIGHT AWAY YOU HAVE A PROBLEM IN WIRING HARNESS BETWEEN THE SENSOR AND ECM....MAIN COMPUTER.....OR SECONDLY POSSIBLE PROB IN THE MAIN COMPUTER...GET SOME OF THOSE ANSWERS AND FIND THE EXACT CODE THAT RETURNS THEN GET BACK WITH ME FOR MORE HELP
Hello. I have never heard of a " Catalyic " code before, what was the number designated for that? The speed sensor should be located on the drivers side transaxle housing towards the rear of the housing. How does the vehical run otherwise? These are usualy very excellant cars. Thank you , Quinn
