Why is my chrystler seabring over heating and I changed the water housing and thermostate?

Check to see if your cooling fans are turning on by allowing the engine to come up to temp while observing the fans. If they haven't come on by the time the engine temp gauge is at the half way point, turn the air conditioning on high. The fans should turn on. If not, check the fan control relay, or in some Chrysler products the fan control module. Dan

Egine is cool no fan comes on... OK... Engine heats up, no fans come on. Not OK... Red light comes on and engine starts to over heat.... If I turn the Air Conditioner on both fans come on and you can...

There is a fan control module in the engine compartment that you could try replacing. Rather than replace the temp switch, you could try shorting it's connector terminals just to see if the switch is the problem.

You need to change the "Coolant Temperature Sensor". That usually controls the fan. If the fan does not run, you will overheat.

1994 Camaro: My engine is overheating. Ive flushed the ratiator...

It could be the radiator fan motor if all sensors and relays have been changed.......unplug the coolant temperature sensor the fan should come on and stay on unless the motor is bad or it is not getting electrical current.

Make sure the fans are coming on or it will over heat. If the fans come and the gauge is reading hot check the thermostat. Follow the top radiator hose to the engine block it probably has 2 bolts holding the thermostat housing on.

A4 TDI Overheating does not over heat whwn ideling removed thermostate changed water pump dont think its the head gasket can you think of anything else thanks Dougie

Turn your A/C fan to the highest setting and verify if your cooling fans are coming on and staying on. If not then there is a problem with the cooling fan circuit.

The fan will run when you have the AC running ,just to see if it is working. The fan should also run even when the key is off.If the fan is running then you may have a thermostate going bad.Well hope this helps, and good luck.

the fan is electronicly controlled so it comes on when it wants, but maybe you have a clogged radiator, let it get hot then feel your hand on the rad, it should be all the same temp.
