Question about 2006 Honda Civic Hybrid
Hi, few days ago the brake amber light lit up which cut the IMA funtion. manage to resolve temporarly it in startting the engine again with the start key. Problem re-appears shoirtly after.
Now not only the same lamp stays lit up but also the VSA light is on.
Note I've check all fluid levels, they are just fine.
Any idea on root cause and solution?
you can remove the cluster and buy the bulb separate as far as the brake light it is either the float is bad in the master cyl. or you have low frt brake pads

yes, this is the case of a failed throttle body, in which case it needs replaced, the car is getting too much fuel causing the high idle. this needs replaced asap. you could proably find a small independant honda shop that could do the work for less.

SOURCE: Brake Lamp remains on
This light is controlled by the hand brake, brake fluid level and on some models the brake pad wear indicators.
Low brake pads or a broken sensor wire is a common reason for this problem.

It may be as simple as your oil condition or oil level. If you have poor oil in your engine the VTEC system will not operate properly and when RPMs reach 2800 or so it will buck. If everything checks okay with the oil have the code checked for your check engine light/VSA light.
