Remove the radiator cap (the pressure cap, not the overflow tank cap) and run the engine for about 15 minutes, or about five minutes after it reaches normal temperature. This should "burp" the air out of the cooling system.

    Gee, that's odd. I had a 2.7 and a 3.5, and both have a radiator cap. Try following the line from the overflow to the radiator.

bleed any air out by loosening off the highest hose ( heater hose )
run with the heater open (on) to move any air out of the heater core
normally not problem with toyota but worth the check first

it could be a head gasket or cracked head
have a compression test done to determine the problem

Over heating flush it out cant get filled back up

If you have a back flush kit on the engine, use it to fill the engine. It will help push air pockets out of the block. Fill it with water, then run the engine until the t/stat opens and air is pushed into the radiator. Add water until the radiator is full. Run engine long enough to be sure there are no more air pockets in the block. Let engine cool a while then let water out of the drain petcock until enough water is let out to make room for antifreeze. Add antifreeze then run engine until t/stat opens again . Top off radiator with more antifreeze.

I have a 02 grnd Cherokee with 4.0 engine coolant level came on checked radiator its full now no heat comes out inside but temp gauge reads 240 so its not over heating motor

You have an air pocket in the engine. No heat. Check the reservoir and the hose from it to the radiator. No leaks from the reservoir and no bends/kinks in the hose. A bend in the hose will stop coolant from getting back into the radiator, causing air pockets in the engine.

How can I bleed a air pocket on a 95 Toyota Camry do they have a bleeder valve if so where is it located

Air pocket in the cooling system i'm assuming?
Remove radiator cap when the engine has cooled down (verify by collapsing the upper radiator hose to make sure there is no pressure remaining) start the vehicle, turn your climate control to high fan, hottest temp. Add coolant to the radiator as needed. You should have good heat coming out of defrost when the cooling system is successfully bled out.

There's no bleeder valve on a 95 maxima how do you get the air out the coolant system. You can hear that bubbling sound in the heater core

park ur car facing uphill with the radiator cap off...gravity will work the air pockets out (with ur motor running) (but take the radiator cap off before it gets hot) that should take care of it. just keep filling it till the air is out.

Over heating could it be radiator fan motor?

Three quick ideas. Make sure the vehicle sits overnight and check the radiator fluid level
in the radiator itself. If it gets low you will get an air pocket causing overheat. Also check
the reserve tank to be sure it doesn't have a crack or a hose fallen off which would cause an air pocket in the engine block by emptying fluid instead of recirculating. There
should always be fluid in the reserve tank.

Second, radiator cooling fan not coming on. If your air conditioner is not working well at
stop lights, then this is usually the culprit, since the fan helps to move air across the air conditioning coils. Everybody replaces relays but generally it is the motor becoming intermittent, since they are open framed and exposed to the elements.

Third is the thermostat may be stuck in the closed position, which will cause overheat.

How do you change the coolant in a 2002 Buick?

With any car you have to open the plug on the bottom inside of radiator using something to hold the fluid. Take off the radiator cap to release pressure. Once all has drained out, close plug tight with fingers. Refill 50/50 mix. Run car for 5 minutes with cap loosely on top. Add more coolant. You want to get the air pockets out for sure. Very important. You can also use a funnel if it fits right in radiator while running it to get air out but as it heats up the level will rise. Air pockets will overheat the car.

Over Heat

either an air pocket in your cooling system or waterpump is bad. for air pocket, jack up the front end of the car where the radiator cap is, start car, and keep adding fluid till full and blowing warm heat. note, might have to squeeze upper radiator hose to help get the air out. if doing that dosn't help any, odds are you need a new water pump.

The bottom hose will not contain an air pocket. Check your water pump. When the engine is cold, take off the radiator cap and start the engine. When the engine temperature indicator shows normal operating temperature, you should be able to see the coolant moving through the radiator. If not, the water pump is not working. Could be a missing belt, could be a bad pump.

Only hot air blowing out of vents

i am a nissan master technition in Wichita Ks. we see this problem frequently. there is an air pocket in your heater core, due to low coolant level. for some resion or another your vehical is consuming coolant (usually head gkt leaking into cyl). and sence the heater core is higher than the radiator, the air pocket gets stuck in the heater core.
wait till the vehical is cooled off, remove radiator cap, install coolant funnel (avalible at any auto parts store). lift front of vehical off the ground (to get the radiator higher than the heater core), fill coolant funnel and start engine. allow vehical to reach opperating tempature and the air pocket will work its way loose. you may need to rev engine to change coolant flow rate in atempts to remove air pocket quicker.
