New spark plugs, new spark plug wires, new distibutor, new distibutor cap, new coil, new coil wire still not getting any spark why?

I know you list a new distributor, but the pick up coil (inside the distributor) is what will trigger the coil for spark. Located under the rotor, it needs to be checked at the harness for voltage (key on) and measure resistance in the PU coil itself using an ohm meter. Check the harness for breaks or damage, there really is nothing else that might cause this unless you have a complete failure in your engine computer (located next to the battery).

Where is the distibutor cap on a 1993 Jetta Wagon?

Hi, look on the engine block for the place where all the spark plug wires go, and you've find the distributor. Unsnap all clips and take off the distributor cap and suppressor shield, leaving the spark plug wires attached.

2000 dodge durango 318 v8 quit running while driving.cranks but won't start or fire.

Check to see if there is any spark coming to the spark plugs from the distributor,if so change out your plugs, if not check from the coil to the distibutor, if so then change distibutor cap and button( if that still dossn't get it try the entire distributor), if not than check the hot wire going into the coil and if that is hot try replacing the coil but if not then i think you may have an electronic or wireing issue

Look and see if the manifold has numbers above the spark plugs some do and then see if the distributor cap has numbers on the top of it.

What order do i plug the spark plugs into the distributor on 1989 honda civic 1.5L

The plug wires are different lengths for different spark plugs. The best way to not get messed up is to do one wire at a time. Unplug old wire from distributor and plug, compare it to the new ones, find the new one that is the same length and replace. You don't want to get the wires mixed up. Hope this helped.

Need timing setting for 1998 Dodge Ram 1500

Put the number one piston at TDC (top dead center) Pull the cover off the distributor and check to see if the rotor is pointed at the number 1 plug wire. If not check to see if its directly accross from number 1 if so pull the distibutor out and turn the rotor button around 180 degrees. The distibutor can only go in 2 ways. Dead on the money or 180 degrees out. This info is assuming you havent replaced the timing chain or anything that effects factory time settings.

1987 GMC Jimmy Distributor cap and Rotor replacement

A diagram may not be needed as its a reasonably easy fix to do on your own.the distributor ca p will only fit on properly one way because at the base of the cap locaters can only fit the distributor if they line up.When doing the spark plug leads do them one at a time and if nessecary write or mark leads as 1,2 etc .The rotor can only fit on one way but put a mark on the distributor to show where the rotor was pointing when you took it off and if it still points there when the new one is fitted. When changing distributor cap and leads they have to go to the correct place.Pays to mark the outside of distributor cap where the locating bits are On the new and old one.Fit the new cap and rotor then take a spark plug lead and fit to new cap 1 at a time. You can tell by lining up the marks on the outside of the distributor cap when you hold them one on top of the other.Good luck
