3 months back replaced caburator for jetta 3 1.8 of 1995 but if I drive above 80 km/h it consume a lot of petrol. Why?

Did you setup the carburetor. Did you check for any fuel leaks. Remember fuel evaporates and leaves very little traces

Golf mk 4 1.6 1999 - slow acceleration at times. Any solutions

Hi,I just want to tell the house the solution i gave to my vw golf 4 1999 1.6ltre Automatic, that was showing, slow acceleration. This slow acceleration happen when there is hold-up and i want to accelerate the golf will be dragging up to the point that other cars will pass and leave me behind. Also to climb a hill was a serious problem too.
My vw golf 4 most times off without any sign while driving.but if i start it,it pick up again.during this problem i notice that the fuel drop faster than i thought.
however, the only light showing on my dashboard is the ABS yellow light which was constant. During this problem,i google the web for solution, that why am posting my for others to learn too.
SOLUTION.
First if you unplug the airflow meter and there is NO change in Engine sound does not mean that your airflow meter is bad.My does same and its still what am using till today.
Second, the only check light was the yellow ABS light. What this means is that it can never be Engine or Sensor problem. So,there is NO point wasting money for scanning.
There problem was purely MECHANICAL PROBLEM.let me just inform you that I change my fuel filter and fuel pump which was confirm weak, but that did not solve the problem.
The problem was from the FUEL INJECTOR.I bought a caburator cleaner and my mechanic ask me to start the car.He then loosen the air vacum that is attached to the carburetor. He then throttle the car seriousely up to the point that the RPM hit the red lines. While he was doing this he was at thesame time spraying the caburator cleaner into the Caburator to clean the fuel injector too. While I was washing him doing it,my car did some lightening sound that shows that every area is clean now.
Ever since then,I have been driving this car without any acceleration problem nor offing problem.

If you have fuel in line make sura how is your fuel filter, if the fuel fiter geting fuel from the fuel pump then and no fuel coming into carburator remove the head part of the caburator some scerws on then taked out you will see foult chamber remove the flout chamber careful needle valve coming out then take screw driver remove needle holder then you will see filter which is blocked fuel to inter the caburator.

1- you need kit of caburator parts you can get new filter.
change all gaskets top and poton of the caburator.

Caburator prolem -1992 Mercedes 190E

sounds like your fuel pressure regulator or fuel pump may have an issue, start by checking your fuel pressure and be sure it is within spec, make sure you fuel return line is not blocked off of crimped and check the operation of the fuel pressure regulator if all is well with the fuel delivery system you may need a rebuild on the carb or replacement, this should be left to a professional or competent wrench please rate -Jeff
