Electric brake wiring harness

I have a 2004 Silverado 2500HD and need to install a REESE brand electric brake control. I can not find under the dash board where to plug the wiring harness in. Can you tell me where the manufacturer put it?

The panel where the brake control plugs into is behind the emergency brake. There is a cover over the panel that is removed by undoing the fastner in the middle.

I am installing an electric trailer brake controller on my 2008 Ford F- 150 STX pick up truck and I need to know where it plugs in under the dash

Ford's factory supplied brake controller harness end can be found loosely stuffed under the dash, usually just above the driver's right leg. A Ford harness has a rectangular shaped connector.
Simply connect the brake controller harness connector into the vehicle connector. Zip tie the harness wires to another harness to prevent the wiring from hanging down near your feet.
I hope this helps.

2001 2500hd silverado no stop lights at trailer connection (7 pin) turn signals work fine and no problems with truck itself (fuses are ok and the brake pedal switch is operating ok

How have you tested this? If you are just looking for the stop or brake light, you need to test by pressing the break and probing the same pin as the turn signals as the vehicle does not have separate brake and turn signals. However, If the problem is that you have no signal for the electric brakes on your trailer. You must have a brake controller installed. If there is one installed probe the blue wire coming out the back end of it and press the brake to be sure there is brake output. It is possible for a controller to go bad, and not output anymore.

Im buying a used plow for my 2004 chevy silverado 2500hd and need to know how to hook it up to wiring on my truck.

they make a kit that is basically plug and play depending upon the make of the plow I would go to your local dealer and have them order the correct harness for your truck some of the plow light systems can really interfere with your trucks stock system and cause problems in the electric system otherwise you can cut and splice but it would be cheaper and less headaches in the end.

I have a ford factory wiring plug with 5 wires, I

If you are talking about the trailer brake pigtail under the dash, the brown wire is for the illumination on the brake controller, if applicable.

My reese hand held controller did not use this, so I just blind end tapped it into the harness.
If your brake controller does not have background illumination, then you don't need the brown wire.
Sounds like the controller is similar.

Where does the brake controll harness plug in under the dash

If you have the plug for that model, it goes into a spot in the top of the fuse block. Hard to see from under the dash, but there are spots for additional plug ins. I believe you want the top right most plug.

Get the Dodge harness adaptor. Typically about $15 at most auto supply places that carries towing stuff, possibly at an RV center too.
The adaptor will connect to a white plug under your dash, if you have the towing package installed from the factory.
Mine (a '97) was taped to the mega connector just to the right of the e-brake pedal... The package came with instructions on where to find it but no pictures so I had to dig a bit up under there!
If you do not have the towing package, you will be best served doing as the instructions that came with the controller say OR downloading instructions from the Reese website.

2009 chevy expres trailer wiring harness

Ask dealer if it has a towing package on it. If it does, you usually just pop fuse in under hood for electric brakes, and harness to adapt into is usually near or at rear bumper. Even if it doesn't have brake wire, you should still be able to install adapter at rear, for lights etc. which is available from dealer or auto supply places, then you may have to run electric brakes separate.
