Under the air cleaner

where is the transmission deep - jturcotte_22.jpg

Checking the Fluid Level

Park your vehicle on a level place. Keep the

engine running.

With the parking brake applied, place the shift lever

in PARK (P).

With your foot on the brake pedal, move the shift

lever through each gear range, pausing for about

three seconds in each range. Then, position the shift

lever in PARK (P).

Let the engine run at idle for three to five minutes.

Then, without shutting off the engine, follow these steps:

1. The black transaxle fluid cap is located next to the

radiator hose and below the air cleaner assembly on

the driver's side of the engine. Remove the air

cleaner assembly so you can reach the transaxle fluid

cap. The assembly is attached to the vehicle by two

fasteners. Lift up on the air cleaner assembly to

remove it. Find the transaxle fluid cap and turn it

counterclockwise to remove. Pull out the dipstick

and wipe it with a clean rag or paper towel.

2. Push it back in all the way, wait three seconds and
then pull it back out again.

How to check transmission fluid

Operations are similar to checking up the engine oil in your car.
Pull out the stick, clean it up, put it as deep as possible and take it out. there are two marks on it for the fluid level. The mark of your fluid supposed to be somewhere in the middle. The transmission oil should be clear, not dark.

I can't locate where to check the transmission fluid, there's a cap on top of the ****** that says ****** fluid but there's not dip stick

I am at a bit of a loss. Not only do I not know what Saturn you have but this site edits words that should not be edited. (I don't know what a ****** or a ****** is)

Regardless of what Saturn or those words, most the automatics I see (German cars are oddballs)have a tube where the transmission is filled and the dip stick is inside that tube. (may have a red handle) Perhaps your dip stick broke off. Can you look into the tube and see anything? The dip stick is long enough and the tube is deep in the pan where the broke dip stick should not fall all the way into the pan.

Where can i find the transmission dip stick

Hello and Welcome to FixYa!
The dipstick is on the left side if you're actually facing the car under the hood. its way down deep just on the right side of the battery but lower than the battery.
If it is standard there isn't any dip stick. You just loosen a bolt on the side of the transmission and check the fluid level with your finger.

Where is the Transmission dip stick

sorry to say but there is no dipstick in the your car vehicle. vehicle no longer have a transmission dipstick. The level is checked by removing a plug in the transmission while the engine is running. Add fluid until it comes out the the plug hole. Of course the vehicle will will have to be raised off the ground to remove the plug and must be level. This will help. Thanks please keep updated.please do rate the solution positively .thank you for using fixya
